This list will compose of my favorite movie villains of the decade in no particular order

We had some great villains this decade (2010-2019). This automatically makes me think about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there are more cinematic villains than just the MCU.

The best movies are the ones with the most terrifying and memorable villains.

MovieVillains01

The Joker/ Arthur Fleck

This is one of my favorite movies of the decade. And as we all know, it’s an origin story about the most famous villain of all time: The Joker.

Joaquin Pheonix giving us an Oscar performance while performing as someone with serious mental illness.

MovieVillains02

Pennywise The Dancing Clown

Another clown on this list!

The readaptation of Stephen King’s “IT” gives us a more scary clown compared to the old one.

Pennywise feeds himself by hunting children while seasoning them with fear before he strikes them.

MovieVillains03Loki

The Avengers‘ first villain!

Loki isn’t just a villain, he is also very likable. I don’t hate him. Instead, we find ourselves adoring the character.

He even gets his own TV-show by Disney+.

MovieVillains04

Thanos

I know I said this list was in no particular order, but Thanos is, without a doubt, my favorite villain of the decade.

The greatest villains are the ones that genuinely believe what they do is right and justified. Even the audience understands Thanos. Not saying that we agree with his actions, but having a villain with such motives is mesmerizable.

The last battle scene of Avengers: Endgame will forever be remembered

MovieVillains05

Amy Dunne – Gone Girl

I remember thinking that “Gone Girl” was going to be a mediocre movie, but oh god, I was wrong.

How Amy manipulated the media to increase suspicion around Nick was incredible and intriguing.

It’s insane how far she wants to go with this. I still remember the bottle scene in the bathroom, that was just plain up crazy.

MovieVillains06

Kylo Ren

He isn’t Darth Vader from the beloved Star Wars franchise, but that is also what I like about Kylo Ren.

Yes, he tried to imitate his grandfather, but he already seemed different emotionally from the start. We could see him struggle between the light and the darkness.

And, his lightsaber’ design is incredible.

MovieVillains07

Smaug

Benedict Cumberbatch voicing a dragon? Yes, please!

Hobbit wasn’t as good as Lord Of the Rings, but I still enjoyed it. Smaug was drawn towards the enormous wealth collected by the Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain.

Smaug hoarded the Lonely Mountain’s treasures to himself for years until a company of Dwarves arrived to wake him up.

These were my 7 Favorite Movie Villains of the decade. How about you? What is your favorite movie villain?
