Grandpa Eddie and his old friend Milo, the new addition of Jumanji

Eddie and Milo are joining the game of Jumanji.

Eddie becomes the strong “Dr. Smolder Bravestone.” On the other hand, Milo becomes the small “Franklin ‘Mouse’ Finbar.”

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have to embody the role of two older men, which leads to hilarious outcomes. Often, they were even a bit too cheesy for my taste. The idea was good, but they were slightly overdoing it.

I understand that this approach was necessary because of the inclusion of older men. We all know that most of the older generation do not understand video games. Let alone how to play it.

Jumanji The Next level

Some new additional characters in Jumanji: The Next Level

“Jumanji: The Next Level” has two new video game characters because of Eddie and Milo. At first, I did not know if I was going to like that idea, but it worked. The new characters fit well in the story.

And yes, one of them is a horse. It sounds insane, but it turns out great. It is still a weird decision to have an animal as a playable character. This idea would never have crossed my mind.

The two actors that stand out the most are “Jack Black” and “Kevin Hart.” They embodied their characters so well.

Jack Black is a natural talent for playing teenage boys or girls. It cracks me up every time I see him. Even Kevin Hart surprised me. We all know him as a loud individual, but now he has to play as Milo, a calm slow-talking older man. And, he nailed it.

The world of video games

What surprised me in the previous movie was the inclusion of typical characteristics of video games. This was also the case in “Jumanji: The Next Level.”

As mentioned before, we had two older men playing the game without understanding it. You have the young kids trying to explain it to them, but failing.

The world of Jumanji itself is magnificent. I love that the movie is so colorful because it makes it more fun and entertaining. You can compare it to a horror movie with darker colors. It is an addition to the atmosphere of the film.

“Jumanji: The Next Level” is entertaining and funny, but not as good as “Welcome to the Jungle.” It has its issues, but I don’t mind them as much. I just want to sit back and have a good time.

Seeing some of the cast taking on new roles is a blast. I had some good laughs, especially the “cake” scene.
