No, no, no! Yes, yes, yes!
The premise of “Yes Man” is really simple and kinda “stupid,” but it’s a Jim Carrey flick. I don’t watch these films for the plot, but for the man himself. His humor is outdated, but I still enjoy it a lot. One of the reasons for revisiting a Jim Carrey film is thanks to the new Sonic movie.
Although the plot is simple, it does give you a clear message of why you should say “yes” more. In this film, Jim Carrey gets dragged into a party and other stuff he normally doesn’t do. It makes him go out of his comfort zone, only to discover that life can be amazing.
Well, obviously you shouldn’t say “yes” to everything. That’s just crazy. But mix it with someone who can act over top, and we get a highly entertaining movie.
The adventurous Zoey Deschanel
Jim Carrey gets a love interest in this film, and it’s Zoey Deschanel. She is this adventurous girl who lives her life full out.
I like Zoey Deschanel, as I’m a fan of the tv show “New Girl.” She is a perfect fit for these kinda roles as she feels like someone who enjoys life. The scooter scenes with her and Jim are great because it makes you feel alive. For Jim’s character, this is something new and challenging and I like that.
Their chemistry was fine, but not great either. But as I said before, I watch these films for Jim Carrey and not for the love story.
I will keep this movie review short. “Yes Man” is a fun time when you just want to lay down and laugh.
